ONE SESSION CLASS

Saturday, 6/6/26 from 10:00 - 1:00pm

$50 per student for class time and all materials to make one beaded leaf shape that can be transformed into a pin, jewelry piece, or inserted into a larger art piece.

This class will be taught by talented Fall River artist Donna Tavares who has been beading and making art for ages! Stay tuned for a full artist bio.
                                                               
Beginners are welcome! Students should be comfortable with a needle and thread.  Readers [ eye glasses] are helpful, bring them if you have them.  I will supply kits which will include a bag of ‘bead soup’, needles, thread, and interfacing/Lacie Stiff Stuff to bead on.  No two kits will be alike.  I will have extra beads and bigger beads as well if students are having  difficulties working with small beads.  We will have many different beads to play with!

This workshop will teach students the beaded back stitch and beaded seed stitch.  Students will utilize these stitches on a fun abstract leaf shape.  that can become a stylish pin or an element in a quilt, needle work piece, or a rug. We will be working in an “intuitive” way, meaning students should relax, experiment, and have fun!

This class will need a minimum of two students to run, max 5 students. About our venue: This class is scheduled to take place at Loop by Loop Studio which is located inside the 30 Cutler Mill building in Warren, RI. PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO ELEVATOR TO REACH THIS LOCATION AND I AM ON THE SECOND FLOOR. Please also note that this is an industrial mill building so there may be noise, obstructions and equipment in the halls. Please take care when entering.
