Shop Policies

Welcome to loop by loop studio, where you can find everything you need to complete hand hooked rugs! I currently sell wool, patterns, hooks, binding and even kits and I am always up to any custom challenge. Let me know if you need something specific! Please note that many woolen strips are hand dyed and all are hand cut which may cause very slight variations in their shade and thickness. All wools are number 8 size strip unless otherwise noted. All strips are cut but may need to be torn apart to use (Just tear the scored lines quickly to pull apart). I use a variety of solid and textured wools in my kits and wool mixes. Some shredding of textured wools (ombres, herringbones, plaids) is completely normal, expected, and add visual richness to your rug. Info about our kits: I always provide enough wool strips to complete every rug, but everyone hooks a little differently. EACH 12-13 INCH LONG STRIP SHOULD COVER ROUGHLY ¼ INCH BY 2.5 OR 3 INCHES (Or take 1.5 to 2 strips per square inch). If not, you are hooking too tight and will run out of wool. If you are in need of more wool, you may be asked to email a photo of your progress. There may be a shipping charge for over 20 wool strips. I will do my best to color match.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

  • Custom or personalized orders

  • Digital downloads

  • Items on sale

If you have ANY issue with the product itself, please let me know. I strive to satisfy every customer!

Please note that colors vary on different computer monitors. If you need an exact color match, it's a better idea to email me or send me a swatch so I can match it for you. I do this for customers all the time!

Item returns are accepted for a full product refund, but must be unopened, untorn, and unused.

ITEMS WITH FREE SHIPPING: I can offer full refunds on these items minus my initial cost of shipping the item to you. Custom rug, patterns, or kits can not be returned for refund, unfortunately. If you order a custom design from me, I do my best to keep you informed and get your approval (by sending photos and proofs) before the product gets to you so we can make changes prior to it's arrival to you. Custom wool orders can usually be returned (as long as I can reuse the wool). If you have any questions about the product itself, please see above or contact me.

International buyers


IMPORTANT NOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: There are times when you may be charged a duty fee from your country for buying international goods. Please be sure to check with your local customs office for rules and fees regarding these custom dues. I can not devalue or mark "as gift." Any custom dues associated with international purchases are the responsibility of the buyer.

ANOTHER NOTE: I will refund any shipping over charges that are three dollars or more.

Shipping Times

I always strive to get orders out the door within 2-3 working days (Sundays and holidays excluded). Handmade rugs will be made within 4 weeks and shipped within 2-3 days after production time. Other custom orders will vary in production time depending on how complicated they are, of course.

All orders will be sent via First Class USPS mail. Orders over $100 or 16 oz will be sent priority mail. International orders will be sent, most likely, via First Class mail, but these prices fluctuate often. Contact me if you have any questions about shipping! I buy insurance for international orders and orders over 70 dollars. ITEMS WITH FREE SHIPPING: I can offer full refunds on these items minus my initial cost of shipping.
