This listing is for one 14 Inch Round by 1 inch quilting hoop most commonly used for rug hooking, punch needle, quilting and other needle art projects! This hoop is made out of wood with a traditional metal fastener, making it suitable for holding rug hooking patterns drum tight. This hoop is strong enough to "squish" and hold your rug hooking project as you move it around to work on (see my last photo for a demonstration of this technique). Great for completing projects that are bigger than your hoop circumference!

I have found that tightening your pattern on this hoop does take some practice, especially for beginners. Tug on the loose edges of your foundation while tightening the bolt to get maximum tautness. Keep tugging on those loose edges with a strong thumb and you will eventually get a drum tight pattern.
