This listing is for roughly 2 ounce of hand dyed 100% wool roving/fleece to use for your rug hooking projects. Just tear apart this roving into 1/4 inch wide pieces of fluff and hook like you would normally use yarn or wool fabric strips (see last listing photos for demonstration). I use this roving to achieve beautiful textures within my rug hooking projects. Great for hair, animals, flower patches, backgrounds and more!

This roving has been hand painted with care to get the multicolored and mottled blue, green, and slightly red surface you see before you. This color would be perfect in lakes, oceans, seas and more! This particular color is one of a kind and cannot be reproduced, which makes it very special!

This top roving was once a natural color from Shep's and is described as:

Made from a variety of breeds in eastern half of the United States.

Staple length 2.5-3.5 inches (60-70 mm).

Fiber count 54-56s (26-28 micron)

This item is shipped from a non-smoking, non-pet studio and will come in a poly mailing bag.

This roving may also be used for your felting or spinning projects but please note that I do not have technical tips or troubleshooting guides on using this wool for these processes, since I am a rug hooker only! : )
